As a qualified Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) provider, we can administer this diagnostic tool and assess the results to help you with team building, management processes, and leadership development. We offer MBTI services within the context of a workshop to guide you in applying what you have learned in your own organization.
The MBTI is an instrument used to assess an individual’s personality preferences for data gathering and decision making. It is a valuable tool for understanding oneself and by extension, one’s interaction with others. At B•MHE, we use the Indicator to promote organizational understanding, tolerance, communication, and management.
Developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Katharine Briggs, the MBTI was originally developed in 1943. It is based on the theory of psychological types first developed by Carl Gustav Jung, a Swiss psychologist. The Indicator is well-research, widely used, and continuously evolving. It is administered to millions of people every year.
The Indicator is used to assist with grouping individuals into 16 personality preference categories. Each of the 16 categories is defined by four preference scales:
Extroversion – Introversion
Sensing – INtuition
Thinking – Feeling
Judging – Perceiving
